In the workplace, it is essential to communicate ideas quickly and completely. We don’t typically have the time to read clever prose or to explore newly-presented ideas in depth, especially if they don’t apply directly to what we are currently working on.

For this question, find an email or short business document (one you can share), and reduce that document to its basic elements (see our textbook for an example). Then, answer the following questions:

• How could this email/document have relayed its message more efficiently without losing any essential details?
• Do you think this email/document would have been more effective by highlighting only the essential information? Why or why not?

Fundamental Properties of AC Circuits/Lab

Engineering Procedure

Directions: Please answer the question and support your ideas, then respond to a minimum of two of your classmates.

In this week’s lab related to capacitive reactance, you were directed to complete analytical calculations prior to simulating the circuit in MultSIM. As a formal engineering procedure, the order should be engineering design (calculations), computer simulation, and lastly construction of a physical circuit. Why would this order be critical to ensure safety and responsible use of resources on an engineering project?

Propose an Amendment to the Constitution

After reviewing what you have learned in this course, especially the text of the United States Constitution, propose to the class an amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Be sure to make an argument supporting your proposed amendment. Why should this change be made? How will it benefit the lives of Americans across the country? Why does this issue need a Constitutional Amendment and not just a state or federal law change?

For your follow up posts critique the argument of a peer’s proposed amendment or respond to the questions from your peers regarding your proposed amendment.
