One of the major challenges in nursing and healthcare is learning to communicate effectively and safely with other nurses, staff, the interprofessional healthcare teams, patients, and patients’ families. Nurses and other healthcare workers are often stressed and overworked as they deal with major complexities moment-to-moment during their work hours. Nurses and nurse leaders need to have difficult conversations with staff and patients.
