Deontological tips: laws and regulations

Either

Cite specific laws and regulations “word for word”.

Reference the legislation, the section and the page number.

All this means is – convince the marker that you have read and understood the relevant laws, rules or regulations.

Or,

Find a source that explains the law, regulation or code.

But then have the wisdom and humility and honesty to tell the marker that you are relying upon another source to explain the technical detail.

•uses threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, or disorderly behaviour, or

•displays any writing, sign or other visible representation which is threatening, abusive or insulting,

•

•within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress thereby.

(1) A person (A) harasses another (B) if—

(a) A engages in unwanted conduct related to a relevant protected characteristic, and

(b) the conduct has the purpose or effect of—
(i) violating B’s dignity, or
(ii) creating an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive environment for B.
