In what ways does Black Lives Matter today reflect the struggles of the Civil Rights Movement–both the fight for LEGAL EQUALITY that culminated with the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965 AND the fight for closing the (wealth) gap between white Americans and Americans of color articulated by people like Stokely Carmichael and LBJ in his commencement address to Howard University in 1964.
