For example, you read a particular book, listened to a specific radio broadcast, watched a particular TV show or film, read an article on scoial media, etc. Media genres include: Print, TV, Radio, Digital, Film.

Write a 700- to 1,050-word personal essay that describes your three cultural products. Be sure to select a specific media — for example, not just “sports radio” but a specific program, “Tom talks sports,” etc.

Include a discussion of the following for each item in your essay:

• The name of the specific media you interact with and where you find it. (Guns & Ammo, Magazine, etc.)
• In what ways do the products reflect your cultural values? (Why do you think you chose these products and what do they say about you?)
• In what ways do you think these products reflect the cultural values of our society in general?
• What is media literacy and why is it important?
