Additionally; consumers of medical care and healthcare organizations in the United States are in the midst of critical nursing staffing deficits. This module examines the dynamics between the nursing shortage, physician and nurse practitioner interaction, and the effects on the healthcare consumer. The aging population and problems associated with best practice are examined. The Affordable Care Act will be revisited in relation to content of care and changes that are taking place in practice. |
