The AccorHotel Group is a huge player in the hotel/hospitality industry. Recently they made two big announcements; acquiring the Orient Express and trying to buy the Australian company Mantra Group.
Similar to the Wanda HW assignment….why? How do these fit into their game plan(s). Were there things said or done 6 weeks or 6 months ago that might have signaled these moves? How does these enhance or detract from their positioning. Is their parent company (AccorHotel Group) “brand” affected?
