Write two two-tailed hypotheses that relate two variables in which you have an interest in exploring. For each hypothesis, you should use different variables. Identify two people you would interview to get views  relevant to the research question, and explain why you have selected these two people.

Write a research question within an area of communication research in which you are interested in answering, i.e., relational conflict, media messages, organizational communication, etc.

Complete the following based on your research question in 50 to 100 words:

  • Write two one-tailed hypotheses that relate two      variables that you have an interest in exploring. For each hypothesis, you      should use different variables.  Please see your textbook for      additional support.
  • Identify two people you would like to interview to get      views relevant to the research question, and explain why you have selected      these two people.

Part 2:

Write an additional research question within the area of communication research in which you are interested in answering.

Complete the following based on your research question in 50 to 100 words:

  • Write two two-tailed hypotheses that relate two variables in which you have an interest in exploring. For each hypothesis, you should use different variables.
  • Identify two people you would interview to get views  relevant to the research question, and explain why you have selected these two people.

Part 3:

Respond to the following:

  • Which of the following methods best describes your  approach to communication research in general: empirical, rhetorical,      critical, or interpretive? Explain why you would use this method in 100 to  250 words.
  • Provide descriptions of the other three research methods in 50 to 100 words.

Write a 700- to 1,050-word paper highlighting the ethical considerations necessary in communication research. Take one of the hypothesis you developed this week and design a hypothetical study to test it. Be sure to address each of the following ethical implications that may occur as you design your study.

  • Will participation be confidential or anonymous? What would you prefer if you were a participant of this study? Why?
  • How might the wording of your questions asked by your study affect your research?
  • What deception might be required by your study, and on what basis might you justify this deception?
  • What are the potential risks for research participants for participating in your study?
