Studies on the benefit or lack of, for organizations around corporate social responsibility tactics

An abundance of academic studies have been devoted to the investigation of corporate social responsibilities, and although the business world seems to have accepted the general idea that it should be socially responsible. Numerous researchers attempted to identify the relationship between CSP and corporate financial performance (CFP) but found their results varying from positive relationship to inconclusive results (Roman et al, 1999; Margolis and Walsh, 2003; Orlitzky et al, 2003). The question about the link between CSR and business profitability remains questionable.

Rivera, Munoz, and Moneva (2017) revisits relationship between corporate stakeholder commitment and social and financial performance.

Could you share some research to investigate some important study that supports and those opposing this view?
